Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) (Opening in Norfolk, VA and San Diego, CA)

REQ# GDI_19_021: Ten (10) years’ experience managing telecommunications projects which may be inclusive of five (5) years’ experience on DoD networks. Information Security System Engineer (ISSE) (RMF) will direct security engineering and Information Assurance (IA) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) support ensuring that all installed networks and systems comply with applicable Security Controls per the DoD and Navy RMF. The ISSE must have a thorough understanding of RMF process and IT/network technologies. The successful candidate will work independently and as a team to manage and support cybersecurity functions, to include RMF documentation development. Experience with eMASS required to deliver, maintain, and review a successful transition to the RMF DoD cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization (A&A) documentation and workflow on DoD networks. The candidate will perform updates, verifies, and validates that all assigned Ports, Protocols, and Services used are documented in the eMass package and registered under the system s Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM) registration. Additionally, the candidate will coordinate with stakeholders during coordination and approval. Candidate must be familiar with the system/site by developing and/or reviewing the A&A Plan; identify any issues with the Security Plan and Procedures; execute the Validation Plan and Procedures; review POA&Ms; develop Risk Assessments. Candidate will have privileged access and must meet DoD Cybersecurity Workforce IAT Level II certification requirements. Must have Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certification or CISSP Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (CISSP-ISSEP) certification (preferred). Candidate must be a US citizen and have a TS clearance with SCI eligibility (Current SSBI).
